The MindSee project aims to develop an information seeking application that exemplifies the fruitful symbiosis of modern Brain Computer Interface technology with real-world Human Computer Interaction.  The result will be a cutting-edge information retrieval system that outperforms state-of-the-art tools by more than doubling the performance of information seeking in realistic tasks.

SYMBIOTIC 2016 - 5TH INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON SYMBIOTIC INTERACTION

May 18, 2016 by Andrea Miotto

Padua, Italy, 29-30 September 2016

The Symbiotic workshop comes back to Padua this year after three successful editions in London, Helsinki and Berlin.

The workshop is the primary venue to presents scientific works dealing with the symbiotic relationships between humans and computers and to discuss the nature and implications of such relationship, including ethics. The idea of symbiotic systems put forward in this workshop capitalises on the computers’ ability to implicitly (even subliminally) detect the users goals and psycho-physiological states and thereby enhancing human-computer interaction (HCI) without subducting control from the human.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO SUBMIT A PAPER? The extended deadline for submission is June 15th 2016! Please visit http://symbiotic2016.org/ for more info on how to register or send an email to symbiotic2016@gmail.com. A best paper award will be granted to one of the works presented at the conference. The conference proceedings will be published by Springer in the Lecture Notes on Computer Science series.
